Personnel Coordinator

The Personnel Coordinator's responsibilities fall into 3 major categories - client service & business development, employee relations, and recruiting. Client service duties include taking/filling orders for diverse companies in the Lehigh Valley, meeting with clients to better understand their complex staffing needs, resolving employee issues with clients, and pursuing new business to expand Allied's customer base. Business development activities include generating and following up on leads and meeting with new clients to assess their staffing needs. Employee relations includes interviewing, screening resumes, orienting new employees, completing pre-employment screening, answering field employee questions, and counseling field employees. Recruiting involves generating new ideas to increase qualified applicant flow, building relationships with recruiting sources in order to maximize referrals, and attending job fairs/networking events.

Successful candidates will have a background in service and sales that focuses on results and personal accountability. They will also have experience working as part of a close team to achieve results under tight deadlines. The ability to shift priorities without losing sight of the big picture is also needed. A 4 year degree is highly preferred. Business experience focused on service and sales is needed.

Front Desk Assistant

The Front Desk Assistant is responsible for meeting and greeting applicants and employees, answering busy phone lines, administering and reviewing applications, screening applicants, entering application data, conducting reference checks, maintaining files and reports, generating letters, and providing administrative support to the staff.

Successful candidates will have office experience, a pleasant and professional demeanor in person and over the phone, the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast paced setting, a strict attention to detail, and strong PC skills. The ideal candidate will be available 8a-5p Monday through Friday but those looking for 30-35 hours/week may also be considered.

Payroll Assistant
Allied Personnel Services, the Lehigh Valley's largest staffing provider, is looking for a payroll assistant to join our team. For over 27 years Allied's strength has been the development of a staff dedicated to excellence, a drive to establish a relationship with clients and employees based on trust and integrity, and a concentrated effort to provide the highest quality and value in everything we do. Allied's Payroll Assistant duties include processing weekly payroll for field employees (receive, verify, and log timeslips), entering hours, tracking attendance, running reports, and assisting employees with payroll related questions. Additional duties include invoicing, processing garnishments, assisting with month/quarter end, completing company reports, and processing employment verifications. Candidates must have 3+ years experience in an office setting. Highest preference will be given to candidates with payroll/accounting backgrounds. Heavy computer work included in this position so proficiency with MS Word, Excel required. The ability to quickly master proprietary software needed as well. Our environment is very team-oriented, and flexibility and initiative are also essential to success. This position offers a competitive salary and full time hours (8a-5p Monday-Friday). Personnel Coordinator
Allied Personnel Services is seeking candidates for a Personnel Coordinator opening in our Allentown office. The Personnel Coordinator is responsible for screening and placing candidates, working with clients to establish specific staffing needs, serving in a consultative capacity to educate applicants and clients on current market conditions, and assisting field employees with all needs. Additionally, the Personnel Coordinator is responsible for developing business within existing clients, seeking out new clients, and building new business. Successful candidates will have a background in service and sales that focuses on results and personal accountability.
